
This is one of 47 marble funerary steles of the 5th, 4th and 3rd centuries BC. which were decorating the graves of Macedonian citizens. They were excavated in Vergina, Macedonia, Greece. The Greek names on the steles is another testimony to the Greek origins of Macedonians.
